Registration of Cameroonian Nationals in Canada

Cameroonians residing abroad should register their names and addresses as soon as possible with the nearest Cameroonian diplomatic or consular mission. They will then be issued with a consular card. Failure to register could, in an emergency, make it difficult or delay the consular assistance or protection to which all Cameroonians residing abroad are entitled. Any change of address or permanent departure from the country of residence should be reported to the mission or consulate.

Note: Visitors are not entitled to a consular card.

CONSULAR CARD APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Since 28 November 2025, the procedure for applying for and/or renewing a Consular Card has been exclusively online via the official consular services portal, accessible via the following link:

https://evisacam.cm/ords/dl_portal/r/public_portal/home

The procedure must be carried out in strict accordance with the following six (06) main steps:

  1. 1. Open a user account for new users (create a username and password) or log in to the platform using a username and password for users who already have an account;
  2. 2. Select the requested service by clicking on the ‘services’ tab to display the options and choose the one relating to the Consular Card;
  3. 3. Fill in the online service request form, providing all the mandatory and useful personal information required by the system;
  4. Upload all the required documents listed below;
  5. Pay the Consular Card issuance fee directly online on the platform. Once payment has been made, proof of successful transaction will be generated in the form of a code or payment receipt to be printed and kept for presentation to the Embassy when physically registering and collecting the requested document;
  6. 6. Physical enrolment at the High Commission of Cameroon in Canada and collection of the document. This involves the collection of the physical parameters of the consular card applicant (fingerprint, photograph and signature). To do this, the user must go to the High Commission with the online pre-enrolment form bearing a QR code and their original passport.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE PROVIDED FOR  CONSULAR CARD APPLICATION

I–    Online pre-registration stage

During this stage, the following MANDATORY documents must be properly SCANNED and uploaded to the application:

– Valid passport or certificate of loss of passport issued by the police services of the place where the event occurred;

– Valid residence permit (permanent residence card, visa, work and/or study permit);

– Marriage certificate (if applicable);

– National identity card;

– Certificate of nationality;

– Birth certificate;

– Proof of occupation, if applicable. For students, a certificate of enrolment at a university or school or a student card is preferred. For workers, a diploma, employment contract or pay slip must be presented.

II-    Physical enrolment step

On the day of your appointment at the High Commission of Cameroon in Canada for the collection of physical data (fingerprints, photograph and signature), you MUST present the following documents:

1-    Original valid Cameroonian passport and,

2-    The approval form bearing the QR code.

COLLECTION OF THE CONSULAR CARD

The Consular Card can be collected immediately after physical enrolment. It is valid for five years from the date of issue.

IN CASE OF LOSS OF THE CONSULAR CARD

In view of the significant physical changes to the Consular Card, its replacement follows the same process as described above. However, instead of the passport, a CERTIFICATE of loss of the Consular Card, issued by the police services of the place where the event occurred, must be submitted. As with the passport, this is the physical report detailing the circumstances of the loss of the document and NOT the document bearing only the file number.

IN CASE OF PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE CONSULAR CARD APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Two scenarios may arise:

1–    The consular card application submitted online is incomplete. It will be returned once or twice for modifications and/or to complete the missing documents. Users who receive notification by email must follow the steps below to correct the problem:

–    Return to the consular services platform;

-Click on ‘Modify my application’ and follow the steps.

– Correct the problem according to the instructions contained in the return notification.

– Resubmit your application.

2- Rejection of the application for issuance or renewal of the Consular Card. This occurs in cases where the user does not meet the requirements (foreign national), or the file has been returned several times and has not been completed and/or corrected as required. In this case, the user will have to start the entire procedure again and pay the relevant fees online once more.

For any other technical issues related to the online procedure (uploading documents, payment difficulties, etc.), a request must be submitted to the following email address: contact@evisacam.cm.

The message must be BRIEF and contain the following information:

  • The subject of the request
  • The identification number on the pre-registration form
  • Proof of payment (receipt)
  • Once the issue has been submitted, wait for a response from the Evisacam team.

In the event of duplicate payments, requests for refunds of the excess amount should be sent to htts://claim.evisacam.cm/.

N.B: Only duplicate payments attributable to a possible malfunction of the consular services platform will be refunded after verification of the documents submitted in support of the request.

Multiple payments made through the successive submission of several requests by the same person will not be refunded.
